One of the hallmarks of a really good bird photographer is the ability to show you the beauty of even the most humble looking birds. Case in point: Scott Whittle’s photo of a White-tipped Dove on the driveway at Asa Wright Nature Centre in Trinidad.

Bird photographer Arthur Morris at Asa Wright Nature Centre

It’s always interesting when a bird you think you are familiar with gets shown to you in a whole different way. Take these two great photos the world-renowned Arthur Morris took during a brief stay at Asa Wright Nature Centre in Trinidad this June. The first is of a White-Bearded Manakin, the second of a Golden-headed Manakin. Both have leks on property at the Centre.
